IN PROCESS: The Abstract Six
IN PROCESS is a group exhibit and month-long residency featuring six Calgary abstract artists (Ghislaine Cleiren, Claudia Lorenz, Susan Hull, Barb Straka, Anne M Gunst, and Dixie Baum) exploring ideas of change, transition, and the creative process. Working in various mediums and styles, these artists use abstraction to express emotion, memory, and transformation through mark-making, texture, and experimentation. Throughout October, the gallery will remain an active workspace where visitors can witness the evolution of each artist’s work and engage in conversation about the creative process.

Splitting my time between Calgary and the quiet beauty of Pigeon Lake, I create both representational and abstract works that explore the connections between outer landscapes and inner emotional states.
